A VSAT system consists of a small dish antenna on the user’s premises, a transceiver that sends and receives signals to/from a satellite, and a hub station on the ground that connects to the internet or the rest of the network. The user’s VSAT terminal communicates with the satellite, which relays data to and from the hub station.
